U PITT Smoke Toxicity test for

New York City Building Code requirements

 
We have performed this test with thousands of materials and probably 
have more experience with the UPitt test than any other laboratory 
in the world.
 
We need about two pounds of your material as it would be installed 
in a NY City building. 
 
In a series of tests we heat your material, collect the 
fumes(smoke, decomposition products), and measure their toxicity.
 
After the testing is done, we will compare your results with those for 
wood panels and provide to you the test results plus a letter 
indicating whether passed or not. With the NY City Building Code 
revisions of July 2008, you no longer have to register your product with
the NY City MEA office. 
 
Turnaround time is 6 weeks or less, price is $3400.
